Dear Parents of Mrs. Powell's Kindergarten, Happy Friday! Please send me an email from the best email contact I should use for sending messages for you and your student. I need to create a group, which will include only my 13 students (and Mrs. Traudt) for the online component going forward. Again, our online learning begins this Monday, March 23. Working this way will require you, the parent, to be in contact with me directly (at least) weekly. Assignments will be set forth in a weekly plan. The workload will include ALL of the different curriculum and elements in our week, including special classes (art, music). My plan is for the assignments to be done at your convenience, with the expectation that my students will be "in class" for one to one and one half hours a day. I will remain flexible, and suggest you all do the same as we navigate this new format. If you have not yet checked out our classroom website, please do so with your student. The address is www.stpkindergarten.weebly.com I will do my best to keep close to our schedule and will maintain my high expectations for each student. Your children are such a wonderful group, and we shouldn't lose sight of our community as a kindergarten team. This is a special time of the school year, because each child is making awesome connections with real learning outcomes - you are quite fortunate to witness how far we have come! Again, I urge you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or comments to ensure the best path toward a terrific outcome for each of my kiddos! Thank you for your understanding, compliance, flexibility, and foundation for the best group of 5 and 6 year olds I know! With love and prayers, Mrs. Powell
